Spain could receive international tourists by the end of summer

A hope for the club scene in the European country.

One of the goals in Spain during 2021 is to reactivate tourism, and for this reason, the country’s Minister of Tourism, Reyes Maroto, announced that it is estimated that they will open the borders for tourists and resume safe mobility as soon as possible.

‘We hope that in late spring and especially during summer, international travel will resume and travelers will choose Spain as their destination’, explained Maroto.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez had already commented that Spain’s strategy was to vaccinate the population ‘at the highest possible rate’, in order to ‘be much better prepared to receive international tourists’. He also estimated that 70 percent of the Spanish population would have received the vaccine by the end of the summer.

When it comes to nightlife, club owners and promoters expect a safer and more party-appropriate outlook for 2021.
