Moving between techno and trance, his productions lean on high-impact arrangements, shaped by atmosphere and a clear emotional direction.

As his profile grows, Teocino remains focused on consistency, both in the studio and across his wider creative output. Early exposure to electronic music and defining moments tied to festival culture continue to inform his identity, guiding a sound that has shifted from tech house into more expansive territory.

In this conversation, Teocino opens up about the influences that shaped his evolution, the discipline that shapes his process, and the mindset that pushes him forward.

EG: Hi Teocino, welcome to EG. How are you feeling today?

Teocino: I’m feeling really good and grateful for everything that’s happening with my music right now. I’ve been putting a lot of work into social media and production, and I’m excited about the next gigs coming up.

EG: What was the very first sound or piece of work that made you realize you wanted to create music?

Teocino: Honestly, it wasn’t a specific artist or track; it was the whole vibe of Tomorrowland. That festival atmosphere, the energy, and the sound really inspired me.

EG: How has the environment you grew up in shaped your musical taste?

Teocino: My mom used to listen to a lot of EDM and trance, so that was a big part of my environment growing up. That naturally shaped my taste and pushed me toward electronic music.

EG: Who was the first person to show you that a career in this field was actually possible?

Teocino: There were a lot of artists, but one early influence was Okayval. She had already been in the scene for a few years and had around 8,000 followers when I found her. I connected with her, and she gave me some small tips on production and content. Now she’s touring worldwide and has over 100,000 followers, so seeing that growth showed me what’s possible in a short time.

“I want to show people that if you really want something and work for it, it can happen. I’m still on the journey myself, but that’s something I truly believe in”

EG: If we were to look at your creative DNA, which three figures would be at the very base of it?

Teocino: Definitely my mom, Avicii, and, if it counts, Tomorrowland as a whole, because it had such a big impact on me.

EG: What is a specific characteristic you’ve admired in another creator and tried to adapt into your own work?

Teocino: One thing I really admire is consistency and the way some artists always stay focused on improving their sound and performance, no matter what stage they’re at. I try to bring that into my own work by constantly working on my production, staying disciplined, and not getting distracted, even when things are going well.

EG: Beyond creators, what other forms of human expression have influenced your approach to your work?

Teocino: Taking breaks from producing and doing sports has helped a lot. It clears my head and gives me new energy to bring back into my music.

EG: How has your taste evolved from when you first started to where you are standing today?

Teocino: I started with tech house, but over time, my sound evolved into more Mainstage techno and trance; bigger, more emotional, and more energetic.

EG: What is an influence that people might be surprised to hear has impacted your vision?

Teocino: Since I started with tech house, James Hype has been a big influence on me and still is today. He motivates a lot, speaks real facts, and of course makes great music, which I really respect.

EG: If you could sit down and have a conversation with any creator from history about their process, who would it be and why?

Teocino: For me, it would definitely be Avicii. I grew up listening to him, and he made such a huge impact on the music industry. I’d love to understand how he created his sound and approached music.

EG: What is the one core element you’ve taken from your influences that you hope to pass on to the next generation?

Teocino: That everything is possible. I want to show people that if you really want something and work for it, it can happen. I’m still on the journey myself, but that’s something I truly believe in.
