The Orb have announced their forthcoming album ‘Buddhist Hipsters’, set for release on October 10th, 2025, via Cooking Vinyl. Ahead of the full record, the band has shared ‘It’s Coming Soon’, a plaintive, arpeggiated cut featuring Andy Cain on vocals, offering an early glimpse into the album’s expansive sound.

Opening track ‘Spontaneously Combust’ sets the tone with Steve Hillage’s guitar and Miquette Giraudy on EMS synths, layered over deep bass, backwards vocals, and dreamlike grooves. Elsewhere, ‘P~1’ builds into cosmic drum and bass, ‘Baraka’ serves as an ode to a resilient Kenyan rhino, and ‘A Sacred Choice’ draws on reggae skank with Youth on bass, Paul Ferguson on drums, Andy Falconer on atmospherics, and Eric Von Skywalker on vocals.

Rrome Alone contributes verses to ‘Arabebonics’, with Violeta Vicci adding strings and backing vocals. ‘Doll’s House’ pulses with nostalgic disco glow, while Trevor Waters’ classic ‘Love Me Tonight’ is transformed into ‘The Oort Cloud (Too Night)’ in collaboration with Dr D. Andy Falconer rejoins on ‘Under The Bed’, and Robert Eno’s piano shapes the closing track ‘Khàron’.

‘Buddhist Hipsters’ will be available in multiple formats, including CD with fold-out sleeve, black double vinyl in gatefold, and limited-edition colored vinyl pressings.

The release coincides with an extensive tour beginning on September 12th at Mucky Weekender in Dorset and running through December 13th at Cheese and Grain in Frome, with stops in Glastonbury, Dublin, Cork, Belfast, Brighton, London, Manchester, and more across the UK and Europe.
