Timo Maas and Steve Bug remix Rodriguez Jr.’s ‘Bliss’

Two different packages are available.

Olivier Mateu, better known as Rodriguez Jr., released his third full length, ‘Blisss’ back in April, as he continued to explore his melodic house and techno sound, taking inspiration from the writings of Patrick Modiano and artist Pierre Soulages, among others. Now, the French live performer has presented a series of new remixes.

Kicking things off in the first installment is Timo Maas, who strikes a balance between a driving dance-floor growler and a homage to the deeper roots of ‘Blisss’. Also remixing the title track, Mobilee welcomes Martinez Sr., Rodriguez Jr.’s new techno alter-ego, and includes the highly coveted ‘What Is Real’ (Deep In The Playa Remix), crafted by him for his live sets.

The second edition of the remix packages features Steve Bug, who takes on ‘Monolith Garden’ for a club-ready rendition; Floyd Lavine’s unique and dreamlike remix of ‘What Is Real’, conserving the original spiritual ambiance, and Spanish producer Squire‘s showstopping rework of ‘Haussmann’, which perfectly blends 80’s flavors and summer beach fronts.
