Hailing from Los Angeles, the DJ duo known as the Lisbona Sisters are gaining recognition with their eclectic musical style. Their music, which incorporates elements of house, disco, techno, funk, 80s pop, electro, and 90s R&B, creates a unique soundscape that captivates audiences.

In their few years as DJs, the Lisbona Sisters have performed alongside artists like Soul Clap, Mr. C, Crazy P, and Lee Foss. Their diverse musical backgrounds, influenced by their birthplace, Atlantic City, NJ, their musician father, and their upbringing in California, have shaped their artistry.
The sisters’ close bond, diverse musical exposure from their parents, and a significant age gap of nearly 20 years have all further contributed to their distinctive sound.
In recognition of Women’s History Month, the Lisbona Sisters just released a new track through LP Giobbi’s nonprofit effort, ‘Femme House Vol. 2’, in partnership with Insomniac Records. This project highlights female and female-identifying artists. FEMME HOUSE seeks to empower and create opportunities for women, gender-expansive individuals, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ creatives in the music industry.
In conjunction with their recent contribution to ‘Femme House Vol. 2’, the Lisbona Sisters have curated a list of their top 10 favorite tracks.
1. Nocturnal Sunshine, Maya Jane Coles – Foundation
“First off, we love Maya Jane Coles; such a talented and diverse producer, plus exceptionally kind human. This track is perfectly balanced with a broken beat structure, infectious bass line, and contagious vocal.”

“Housey, funky, and infused with acid overtones, this certified groover can get us dancing at a party or in our kitchen…or anywhere really.”
3. BASHKKA – Act Bad
“It’s fast, but not too fast with a vocal that’s catchy, but not cheesy. We’re confident this will get all the girlies shaking their girly parts, and everyone knows that’s the key to a dance floor where everyone is happy.”

“Rita Lee is a Brazilian dreamboat of a vocalist and artist. This song is from 1980 and she is still in full effect today, teaming up with artists like Mochakk, Gui Boratto, and Roberto de Carvalho.“
