Universo Positivo returns with its fourth vinyl release, bringing together four new remixes from Kai Alce, Sean McCabe, JKriv, and Medlar. The project continues Joseph Salvador’s approach to timeless house music through carefully selected artists and club-focused reinterpretations.
Atlanta’s Kai Alce opens the release with a rework of ‘Sonido Latino’, reshaping the original into a smooth deep house groove with jazz-inflected melodies. Sean McCabe follows with a remix of ‘Ipanema Jazz’, preserving its samba-driven feel while introducing vintage synth textures, warm chords, and expressive keys.
Elsewhere, Razor-N-Tape co-founder JKriv delivers a driving version of ‘Caparica Sunset’, blending soft acid lines, breakbeats, and loose percussion. South London producer Medlar closes the release with a euphoric take on ‘U R The Revolution’, leaning into throwback house influences and melodic hooks.
The forthcoming release marks another step for Universo Positivo following two years of steady output from Salvador, whose wider work spans TINK Records, Tomorrow Is Now Kid!, and collaborations including Black Tulip and Wendell Morrison.
