Three decades into a career that has established him as one of techno’s most respected producers, Vince Watson joins the EG TECHNO series with a mix that reflects the depth and consistency of his musical journey. Available now on SoundCloud and Mixcloud, EG TECHNO.158 finds the Scottish artist weaving together Detroit influences with his signature blend of emotive grooves and atmospheric textures.

Since the mid-1990s, Watson has released more than 1,000 tracks across 18 albums and over 250 EPs, building a catalog that spans Detroit techno, deep house, electro, and ambient music. Under his own name and aliases Amorphic and Quart, his productions have taken him to clubs and festivals including Berghain, Tresor, Womb Tokyo, Space Ibiza, and Amsterdam’s 909 Festival.

Opening with his own ‘Reach For The Sun’, the mix moves through selections by DJ3000, Human Safari, Los Hermanos, Jules Wells, Manu Abeca, Sina XX, Chizawa Q, Unspent, and DAST, while also featuring Watson’s ‘The Awakening’ and ‘Gliding’. The result is a patient, driving journey that balances Detroit-inspired rhythms with contemporary techno, remaining true to the sound he has refined throughout his career.
