VXSION’s latest release is an official remix of The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’. Teased since 2023, this highly anticipated remix reimagines the classic while maintaining its emotional core. Support from industry leaders like Black Coffee and Nora En Pure solidifies VXSION’s rising status in dance music.

As VXSION prepares for his upcoming South American tour and European debut, we sat down with him to discuss his musical journey, the creation of his ‘Sweet Disposition’ remix, and his future aspirations.
In this exclusive interview, VXSION shares insights about his family’s musical roots, his creative process, and the deeper purpose he finds in connecting with audiences through his music.
EG: Hi, VXSION! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been? Where are you right now?
VXSION: Hey guys, thank you for having me! I’ve been great; I’m in Miami right now getting ready to tour.
EG: First of all, congratulations on the incoming drop of your highly anticipated remix of The Temper Trap’s ‘Sweet Disposition’! You must be very excited to finally be able to share this one. What has the initial reception been like so far? Were you expecting that level of acceptance?
VXSION: I can’t believe the support I’ve received from the song. &ME started playing it in his sets worldwide, and the song blew up so quickly. I’m so lucky to have received so much love and support from everyone thus far.
EG: So, how did this opportunity come about?
VXSION: My remix became viral very quickly and received worldwide recognition. Huge DJs worldwide were playing it everywhere. My friend from Flight Facilities helped me contact Dougy Mandagi (The Temper Trap’s singer). I’ll never be able to thank them enough for helping me out. I was able to have Dougy listen to my remix, and needless to say, he loved it!
EG: Did you give it much thought before deciding you would take on ‘Sweet Disposition’? Is there a sense of “weight” when remixing such an iconic song?
VXSION: I fell in love with this record long ago and have always wanted to remix such a beautiful song. I knew how hard it would be to release this record officially, but deep down, I knew I had to do it. One day, I decided to remix the track, and after spending the night working on it, everything flowed from there magically.
“‘This release gave me a lot of exposure as an artist, and since its release, I have been touring the world and sharing my music in new places with new faces, which is all I could ever ask for”
EG: And this comes hot on the heels of the massive success that was ‘Amana’. How have things changed for you since then?
VXSION: ‘Amana’ has opened many doors for me; from there, I was able to make many new relationships and work with more people. Having the support of all the biggest names in the scene is such a gift, and reaching top #1 on Beatport is truly a blessing! I could’ve never imagined this, and I’m so grateful for all of the love from everyone. This release gave me a lot of exposure as an artist, and since its release, I have been touring the world and sharing my music in new places with new faces, which is all I could ever ask for.
EG: The list of accolades and achievements for someone in his 20s is truly impressive. When did you first come in contact with electronic dance music? How did you get started?
VXSION: I’ve been in contact with music since I was little. My family has significant roots in music; my father was a DJ back then, and my grandpa was a self-taught pianist. What is crazy is that now they tell stories of me as a child playing the piano, which I can confidently still call my favorite instrument today. I was probably 12 when I first came in contact with a DAW (software to produce music), and from there on I fell in love with everything about it. All I wanted to do was make music and create something new; this addiction later grew on me and also did my dreams.
EG: And where do you go to for inspiration? What sort of things trigger your imagination?
VXSION: I’ve had a lot of experiences in my life already, which have given me a great background to draw inspiration from and true stories to share. Because these experiences come from my own life, I like to go with the flow and see where it takes me.
EG: And what do you hope to achieve as an artist over time? What are some of the milestones you would like to tick off?
VXSION: One of my main goals is to reach the whole world with my music. I’ve dreamt about traveling and meeting new people since I was young, seeing the impact my music has on audiences around the globe. To me, nothing matters more than to help someone who’s in a bad place; I’ve personally been in such places and I know how hard it can be. Knowing I can help someone the way I got help means the world to me. Through music, I believe we can connect on a personal level that transcends everything.

EG: Finally, what can we expect from VXSION in the next months? Where can your fans catch you playing live next?
VXSION: Over the next few months, you can expect a lot of new music releases! I have an upcoming South America tour at places like Bonbonniere-Tulum, Essex-Mexico City, Hi, I’m SCI-Medellin and many more. I also have an upcoming tour in Europe and my debut in Dubai for a headline show at Surf Club.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, VXSION! We wish you all the best for the future. Take care!
