Watch Gorillaz play ‘AR show’ in London and NY

Directed by Jamie Hewlett alongside Emmy-nominated director, Fx Goby.

Animated band Gorillaz has shared an “augmented reality show”, featuring performances in iconic landmarks, London’s Piccadilly Circus, and New York’s Times Square. The band announced these shows earlier this month, asking fans and followers to download an app, that enables them to watch the performances.

The show is directed by Gorillaz co-founder Hewlett and Emmy-nominated director Fx Goby, and comes ahead of the release of their eighth studio album, ‘Cracker Island’, which is set to drop on February 24th, 2023.

The shows can be watched by downloading the app here, and visiting either Piccadilly Circus or Times Square, or just from the comfort of your home.
