Nigerian-American artist Eli Fola has unveiled his latest EP, ‘Healing For The Youth’ via Mobilee.
The EP’s title track, featuring spoken word artist Cyrus Aaron, showcases Fola’s commitment to social issues. It blends Afro house, techno, jazz, and classical influences with poignant spoken word, delivering a hopeful message to marginalized inner-city youth.
‘Nation of Dance,’ an instrumental piece, complements the title track and demonstrates Fola’s ability to create music that transcends cultural boundaries. With its pulsating rhythms and melodic intricacies, the track invites listeners to share in the joy and unity of movement.
Fola’s artistic journey mirrors his musical innovation. As the creator of ‘Yoruba Tech Soul,’ he pushes boundaries in sound design and performance. His style has led to collaborations with Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, as well as performances alongside Black Coffee and A$AP Rocky.
Fola describes ‘Healing For The Youth’ as “a powerful call to uplift and empower young people who often feel marginalized and unseen.” He emphasizes the personal nature of this project, highlighting his collaboration with Cyrus Aaron as a fusion of music and words aimed at offering hope and strength.
