The family of dance music vocalist Danielle Moore has released a heartfelt statement following the conclusion of the coroner’s inquest into her passing. The inquest concluded that Danielle took her own life. Moore, the frontwoman of Crazy P, died on August 30, 2024, at the age of 52.
In an emotional tribute, James Ensell, Moore’s husband, shared profound reflections on behalf of the family. “How she died bears no relation to who she was in life,” he emphasized, painting a picture of an extraordinary individual whose impact on others was immeasurable.
The statement captured Moore’s essence as a compassionate soul and dedicated artist. Her deep empathy, unwavering commitment to social justice, and genuine connection with others defined her character. “She was an empath, instinctively compassionate and loyal,” the family noted, highlighting her remarkable ability to forge meaningful connections.
The family addressed the important topic of perimenopause and its potential impact on mental health. They emphasized the need for greater understanding and open discussion about these challenges, particularly within the medical community.
The tribute also acknowledged Moore’s profound impact on the music industry and her devoted fanbase. “She was as captivated by you as you were by her,” the statement reflected, speaking to the mutual admiration between the artist and her audience.
As they navigate their grief, the family shared a powerful perspective on loss: “We won’t move on after such a loss, but we must move with. Some things in life are broken and cannot be fixed, they can only be carried.”
The statement concluded with a poignant quote from A.C. Grayling’s ‘The Good Book,’ emphasizing the importance of measuring life through actions and impact rather than time: “For we live in deeds, not years; in thoughts, not breaths.”
Moore’s legacy in British dance music remains indelible. As a key member of Crazy P, she helped create nine studio albums, including their final collaboration, ‘Any Signs Of Love’.
