Detroit techno pioneer Kevin Saunderson and son Dantiez unveil their e-Dancer collaboration. Their self-titled album, releasing May 21st, marks the project’s first material in 25 years. Singles ‘Melodica’ and ‘Emotions’ preview the release.
The 10-track album melds Kevin’s signature groove-driven style with Dantiez’s modern take on underground techno. Through dynamic rhythms and refined sound design, it connects classic Detroit techno with contemporary innovation.
The father-son collaboration began a decade ago at Chicago’s Boiler Room House Legacy Session. Since then, they’ve revived Inner City and performed at major venues like Glastonbury. This e-Dancer project represents their most ambitious work together.
“When I decided to make music, my path was to make people dance. It always will be. Dance is happiness; it’s joyful. It’s a connection between different cultures, races and people worldwide,” Kevin reflects. “I know it’s in Dantiez’s DNA too. When people hear the album, I hope they hear the connection between a father and son on the same path of creating music.”
