Metodi Hristov, born in 1987 in Sofia, Bulgaria, is a DJ and producer known for his dynamic style and energetic sound. His passion for electronic music emerged at age 18 under the tutelage of Juan Alvarez, quickly earning him recognition among Bulgarian audiences. Seeking a broader stage, Metodi began releasing original productions and expanding his reach beyond his home country.
In early 2009, he debuted with the EP “Aquarelberry” on Polish label In Deep Records. Soon after, he attracted the attention of major labels like Great Stuff Recordings, which featured his track “I Hate Latino” on the imprint’s tenth-anniversary compilation, Munich Disco Tech. The song reached No. 71 on Beatport’s Top 100 Tech House chart, while another release—“Message to the Stars” on Witty Tunes—soared to No. 7 on Beatport’s Deep House Top 10.
Metodi’s music has garnered support from industry heavyweights such as Marco Carola, Joris Voorn, Sébastien Léger, Magda, Chris Lake, Audiojack, DJ Optick, and Rainer Weichhold, among others. Alongside fellow producer Pavel Petrov, he holds residencies at two of Bulgaria’s most renowned house music venues: Chervilo Club in Sofia and Cacao Beach in Sunny Beach. Through his productions, performances, and collaborations, Metodi Hristov continues to shape the contemporary house and tech house scene, both within Bulgaria and worldwide.
