EG.1021 Niki Sadeki

“It has been quite some time since EG Podcast 660, which aired back in 2017, and it feels like a lifetime ago. So much has changed in the world and in how I experience and share music. This mix marks a new chapter, reflecting the shifts, growth, and emotional journeys I have gone through in recent years. I have curated some of my recent favorite tracks that move me and capture the moments in between: the quiet, the chaos, the longing, and the joy. This is a story told through sound, from my heart to yours.” – Niki Sadeki

Niki Sadeki is a DJ, producer, and curator known for her emotionally charged and genre-defying sound, which ranges from melancholic to euphoric. Her productions carry an immersive, cinematic quality, blending hypnotic rhythms and melodic motifs with a delicate balance of light and shadow. Drawing on influences that span grunge, deep techno, traditional Persian music, and ambient textures, her work resonates well beyond the final note, creating space for reflection and movement.

Born in Iran and raised in Canada, she is now based in New York. Over the past decade, Niki has evolved from a passionate selector into an experienced producer, steadily building a catalog of original works and remixes that highlight her cinematic approach to sound design. Her curated podcast series and radio shows have put a spotlight on both emerging and established artists, while her DJ mixes for Balance Series, When We Dip, Electronic Groove, trndmsk, and 6AM Group have earned international attention. She also curated two volumes of “Mirror for the Sun” on Alt Orient Records, celebrating cross-cultural talent.

Niki has performed at iconic clubs such as Fabric in London, Sisyphos, Else, Watergate, Brooklyn Mirage, Kater Blau, and Shelter Amsterdam, in addition to renowned festivals like Fusion Festival, Garbicz, Summer Contrast, Bucht der Träumer, and the 3000 Grad Festival. She has also appeared at Burning Man–affiliated events, including Robot Heart’s residency fundraiser in Oakland and fundraisers for Pink Mammoth, Distrikt, and Alborz. Whether performing for an intimate gathering or a large dancefloor, her sets blend melodic house, indie electronica, and hypnotic techno into an emotionally resonant experience.

Currently focused on expanding her production portfolio, Niki has multiple EPs, remixes, and collaborative projects slated for release in the coming years. Her work continues to blur the lines between joy and sorrow, dancefloor intensity and daydream reflections, as well as the individual and collective experience.
