Over two decades, he has played at some of the world’s top venues and festivals, sharing the booth with names like Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Tale Of Us, and Eric Prydz.
Now, Mellino takes a significant step in his international journey with his debut tour across the United States, supported by Rising Agency and aligned with The Hall’s 4th anniversary celebrations. The shows will take place in major cities, including Miami, Los Angeles, and New York, and coincide with the first-ever Club World Cup, bringing together fans and compatriots in unique settings.
In this conversation, Mariano Mellino opens up about his first US tour, the evolution of AUDIOHOLICS, and how he navigates the expectations of the music industry.
EG: Hi Mariano! Thanks for joining us — it’s a pleasure to have you here. How’s 2025 treating you so far?
Mariano Mellino: Hi, thank you for the interview. Honestly, 2025 has been amazing so far. I’m really happy with everything I’ve achieved and all the beautiful projects that have come my way. It’s been a year that’s allowed me to travel, perform at big festivals, and play shows all over the world.
EG: Exciting times. Also, congratulations on what will be your first major US tour! How long has this been in the works, and how are you feeling ahead of it?
Mariano Mellino: Thank you! We’ve been planning this tour for about seven or eight months. My team and the guys at Rising Agency worked hard to make it happen, and I’m really excited to visit the United States for the first time. People have been asking for this for years, so fulfilling this dream of playing in such a big country — and reconnecting with many Argentinians living there — brings me a lot of joy. I can’t wait for it to start.

EG: The tour already sounds special, but it’s also framed by two major events: the first Club World Cup and the 4th anniversary of The Hall, with shows in Miami, LA, and New York. What do you think this adds to your debut in the U.S.?
Mariano Mellino: It’s definitely a special bonus. An international event like this will draw people from all over, especially Argentinians coming to support their teams. That makes it even more meaningful to play in another country, knowing it’ll be full of compatriots listening to my music. The Club World Cup adds a lot, and I’m really happy to be part of something so important.
EG: On a personal level… what do you hope to take away from this tour? And what do you want the audience to take from your performances?
Mariano Mellino: I’d love to create beautiful moments, to see people in the U.S. enjoying my music, to connect with them. I also want to gain a lot of experience traveling across a country I’ve always dreamed of playing in. I hope it becomes the foundation for more tours in the future — an experience full of great memories and good energy.
EG: Recently, you played at Culture Box in Copenhagen, which has a no-phones/no-photos policy. Was that your first time in such a space? How was it, and what’s your take on that kind of policy?
Mariano Mellino: I’ve played in a few places with similar rules. It’s the club’s policy, and the crowd appreciates it. I think it’s great because it enhances the connection between the music, the DJ, and the audience. It was a beautiful experience and made the night even more special.
EG: Stepping outside the studio… How do you deal with the demands of the “industry”? The priorities of the business side don’t always align with the artist’s.
Mariano Mellino: I think you figure it out as you go. You learn how to handle your music, what you want from it, the timing of releases, and which labels to work with. Over time, you start to understand how you want to do things and what’s important for your career. I always try to make sure my music reaches the people — that, to me, is the most important part.

EG: Lastly… What’s next for Mariano Mellino and AUDIOHOLICS in the coming months?
Mariano Mellino: Coming up, AUDIOHOLICS will continue after our next show at Metropolitano in Rosario. We’ll be heading to Australia for a performance in Noosa Heads, then to Amsterdam for ADE, supported by Watt Events with a great lineup. After that, we’ll go to Mendoza, Argentina, where AUDIOHOLICS will debut as well. And of course, there are more surprises to come throughout the year.
EG: Thank you for your time, Mariano! We wish you the best on the road ahead.
Mariano Mellino: Thank you — it was a pleasure. I hope you enjoy this note, it was a really nice one. Big hug.
