Scottish DJ, producer, and songwriter John Reid has passed away suddenly at the age of 61. Best known as the frontman of Nightcrawlers, Reid rose to global prominence with the 1995 release of ‘Push The Feeling On’, later famously remixed by Marc Kinchen. The track became a defining anthem of house music, its vocal hook transcending generations and genres.

Beyond Nightcrawlers, Reid forged a prolific career as a songwriter. His credits include Tina Turner’s ‘When the Heartache Is Over’, Westlife’s UK No.1 ‘Unbreakable’, and ‘A Moment Like This’, recorded by both Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson. He also worked with artists such as Rod Stewart, Simon Cowell, and Eternal.
