EG TECHNO.147 Eric Moore

Rooted in the raw, unadulterated underground. Eric Moore is to techno what a cult-classic is to cinema and has built a reputation for being one of Ireland’s most revered for those who dig deeper. Quietly influential and always slightly off the radar, his sound isn’t for everyone, and that’s exactly the point.

An eminent turntablist and vinyl enthusiast who remains enigmatic in his approach, his sound is distinctive, gritty and visceral. His intense and explosive performances see him nest at the vanguard of a very dedicated Irish techno scene which has seen a lot of set-backs regarding the closure of nightclubs and event spaces in recent years. Despite this, the campaigns to urge nightlife reform continue to hold a lot of hope for the future of the scene in Ireland.

Eric’s own imprint Arcane is due for a relaunch very soon. Releases to date include works from Limerick based artist Darad (as featured on Dave Clarke’s White Noise radio show) and Yorkshire’s son of techno thunder Balrog (Soma/Hydraulix).

With releases on Mechanic Slave’s Croatian imprint Red Section, Neapolitan label Hypnotic Frames and Arcane, Eric continues to fly the flag for Ireland both at home and abroad.
