“I don’t record DJ mixes very often these days, but when I do, I like to keep it fun and vibey – something you can throw on in the car or while getting ready to go out. This one’s a selection of tracks that have inspired me lately, along with a few of my own recent remixes and also Axel Boman’s and Lydia Eisenblätter’s takes on tracks from my latest album Puzzles. Those just came out on Puzzles Club Remixes, a mini compilation that also features reworks by my dear friend Justin Strauss as well as German Housemeister Johannes Albert, and myself.” – Kasper Bjørke
Kasper Bjørke has been a transformative force in electronic music for over two decades, weaving a distinct thread through his extensive body of work. From club anthems to radio-friendly tracks and introspective ambient meditations, Bjørke’s musical DNA remains unmistakable. Despite evolving musical landscapes, his sound and vision persistently shine through.
Following the success of last year’s critically acclaimed album Puzzles, Danish producer Kasper Bjørke now presents Puzzles Remixes—a collection of five dancefloor-focused reworks by an international cast of artists. Leading the EP is Stockholm’s Axel Boman, who transforms ‘Ugle (Drømmen Om Møn)’ into a heady, groove-laden journey with deep Balearic textures and playful rhythms. German DJ Lydia Eisenblätter infuses ‘Club Paradisco’ with hypnotic house momentum and late-night euphoria. New York legend Justin Strauss adds a shimmering, nocturnal vibe to ‘Tears We Haven’t Cried,’ featuring Toby Ernest on vocals. Berlin’s Johannes Albert reimagines ‘Conversations (feat. Sísý Ey)’ into a vocal-driven disco house cut with techno influences. Kasper Bjørke himself contributes the ‘Kasper Bjørke <3 NY Remix’ of ‘I Was There,’ blending live drums and nostalgic synth lines with a modern club sensibility.
As a DJ, Panorama Bar in Berlin holds a special place for Kasper, with five memorable gigs in its sacred room so far. Other standout venues include Fabric, Rex Club, and Robert Johnson, along with festivals like Sónar Barcelona, Roskilde, and Montreux Jazz Festival. While Kasper has reduced touring to minimize his environmental impact and spend more time with his children, he continues to select gigs carefully. He describes DJing as a source of joy, keeping him present, energized, and connected with dancers—a truly addictive experience he cherishes.
