French duo The Blaze have announced ‘FOLK’, an 18-track live album recorded at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall. The project will be released on July 25th. 2025, through Animal63. Two of the closing tracks, ‘SIREN’ and ‘MADLY’, are already available.
Comprising cousins Guillaume and Jonathan Alric, The Blaze are known for their multidisciplinary approach, fusing electronic music with visual storytelling. With ‘FOLK’, they offer a collection that shifts focus outward, capturing not only their own sonic evolution but the collective energy of their audience.
Similar to ‘Dancehall’ and ‘Jungle’, ‘FOLK‘ transcends its musical category to capture human experience. The album harnesses live performance’s emotional power, weaving their discography into a seamless journey. Songs like ‘CLASH’, ‘PLACES’, and ‘RISE’ are transformed through the live setting, each taking new shape on stage.
This is not a greatest hits compilation or retrospective. ‘FOLK’ reveals the evolving maturity of The Blaze’s sound after a decade on the global stage. Their performances—whether at Coachella, Primavera, or Roskilde—have honed these tracks into living, shifting forms.
