Turkish-Italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Carlita returns to Ninja Tune with a new collaborative single titled ‘Mind Off’, created alongside Danish experimental pop trio WhoMadeWho and French producer Orsay.
Built around a steady synth progression and Carlita’s signature deep house textures, ‘Mind Off’ delves into the lingering emotions of a past relationship. WhoMadeWho’s vocals add to the track’s introspective tone, repeating: “All the dreams we share / They keep calling us”.
“We’ve known Carla for many years, and throughout that time we’ve often talked about doing a collaboration,” said Tomas Barfod of WhoMadeWho. “For one reason or another, it never came together – sometimes because of practicalities, other times because we just didn’t find the right spark. That’s why it felt so special when we finally created a track that clicked instantly, both for us and on the dancefloor. The process was effortless, fun, and full of inspiration. Carla is not only a fantastic DJ and artist, but also a truly great person, and this release feels like the perfect outcome of a long-awaited connection.”
