Ibiza-based DJ, live artist, and producer Sturge shares his latest release, ‘Wanted To Fly’, out now via Musique de Lune. The new EP includes two remixes from Jim Rider and Joe Miller, expanding on the original’s soaring, emotive energy.

On ‘Wanted To Fly’, Sturge crafts a crisp, atmospheric landscape built on deep basslines, layered synths, and spacious melodies. “I just wanted to fly,” he sings—marking the emotional core of a track that balances cinematic scale with stripped-back groove. “The bassline came from noodling with Trillian, and the vocal just landed perfectly on top,” Sturge explains.

Jim Rider’s remix keeps close to the original while adding percussive depth and new synth textures, creating a version built for smoky late-night floors. Joe Miller takes a different route, introducing glitchy breaks, off-beat rhythms, and euphoric flourishes for a more adventurous interpretation.

Jim’s remix stays really true to the original, while Joe rips it to shreds in the best way,” says Sturge. “Together they round off the EP perfectly.”
