Toronto-based producer and DJ Greg Gow delivers EG TECHNO.150, marking his debut appearance on the Electronic Groove series. One of Canada’s most accomplished electronic music talents, Greg continues to make an impact both at home and abroad. Known for his hypnotic and soulful Detroit-inspired sound, he blends deep grooves with the diverse textures of his Toronto roots.
There are haunting echoes in Greg’s music of legendary techno pioneers Derrick May, Kevin Sanderson, and Carl Craig, all of whom have been mentors and lasting inspirations. His track The Bridge helped re-launch May’s iconic Transmat label, while his releases on Sanderson’s KMS took the techno world by storm. His collaborations and productions have reached leading imprints such as Radioslave’s Rekids/RSPX, Steve Bug’s Poker Flat, Christian Smith’s Tronic, Adam Beyer’s Truesoul, and Dubfire’s SCI+TEC.
Since 2001, Greg’s own label, Restructured Recordings, has pushed deep, melodic, driving techno from artists including Mateo Murphy, Samuel L Session, Ian O’Donovan, and Greg himself. For over three years, he has also produced This Is Modulations, a monthly podcast showcasing both live recordings and studio mixes.
Beyond the studio, Greg stands among Canada’s most respected techno ambassadors, performing across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Highlights include The BPM Festival, Output NYC, Movement Detroit, Movement Torino, Watergate Berlin, Ushuaïa Ibiza, Club Space Miami, Creamfields Dubai, and Club Air Tokyo.
