Tel Aviv-based DJ and producer Yuvèe is entering 2026 with clear momentum. After a breakout year featuring releases on Maccabi House, SPINNIN’, and Anjunadeep, the classically trained musician is showing no signs of slowing down. Known for fusing live instrumentation with refined club grooves, his music reflects both a deep understanding of theory and an instinct for connection.

With a background in jazz and formal training from the Academy of Music in Jerusalem, Yuvèe draws equally from the rhythmic contrasts of his hometown and Tel Aviv’s underground. Now launching the year with his collaborative single ‘WHAT!’ alongside Bonafique, the Israeli artist is doubling down on creative chemistry and emotional clarity.
In this conversation, Yuvèe opens up about collaboration, instinct, and finding identity through sound.
EG: Hi, Yuvèe! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How have you been doing? How did you kickstart your year?
Yuvèe: Hey everyone! Happy to be here. The start of the new year feels amazing, playing gigs across Europe over the weekends. I’m excited to kick off the year with releases on Crosstown Rebels by Damian Lazarus and my new collaboration with Bonafique called ‘WHAT!’, which is set to drop on Get Physical on January 23rd.
EG: First of all, congratulations on the upcoming release of your new collaborative single, ‘WHAT!’. How are you feeling about this one? What has the initial reception been like so far?
Yuvèe: Thank you so much. This track came together very intuitively, full of energy and creative freedom, and the connection between me and Bonafique felt right from the very first moment.
As for the initial reception, it’s been fantastic. From the first time we played it in sets, we could already see how the crowd reacted on the dancefloor, which is always a strong sign for me. The feedback from fellow DJs and colleagues has also been extremely positive, including from some of the top DJs in the world.
EG: So, what can listeners expect to find on ‘WHAT!’, musically speaking? Is there an emotional trigger or concept driving this cut?
Yuvèe: Musically, ‘WHAT!’ is a very direct and energetic track, with a groove that feels almost physical. We wanted to create a moment of release on the dancefloor — something that doesn’t require too much thought, but simply hits you in the gut and makes you move. The concept came from moments of surprise in the studio and experimenting with interesting sounds we found. That moment when you say to yourself, “What now?” but actually enjoy it. There’s tension that builds slowly and then releases, with elements that feel a little cheeky and unexpected. That’s exactly what we tried to capture — the thrill of not knowing where it’s going, but going all in anyway.
EG: ‘WHAT!’ was created in collaboration with Bonafique. What was that process like? How did the connection between the two of you come about?
Yuvèe: The collaboration between me and Bonafique felt like the perfect combination for creating something like this.
There’s a very interesting story behind both the track and my connection with Bonafique. Our collaboration started quite a while ago — I’d say about two years back — when we first met at a club where we were both playing. That night, we immediately felt a natural connection, both musically and energetically.
A few days later, we booked a studio session at their place, and things really clicked. We quickly found a shared musical language in the studio, everything flowed very intuitively, and the work was smooth and fun. In the end, we finished the track in a single session, which for me always reflects the right kind of connection and true chemistry.

EG: In your eyes, what are some of the keys to a “successful” collaboration? What would you consider a “successful” collab?
Yuvèe: There are a lot of ways to approach this, but in my view, the key to a successful collaboration is first and foremost human connection. Before the sound and technique, there needs to be chemistry, openness, and the ability to truly listen to each other. When everyone comes without ego and with a desire to serve the music, things happen naturally.
A successful collab is one where everyone brings their identity to the table but also knows how to step back and give space to others. When there’s trust in the process and a sense that everyone is pulling in the same direction, something emerges that’s bigger than the sum of its parts — and it’s usually exactly what people feel on the dancefloor.
EG: By the way, you’re coming off from an impressive 2025, which saw your release on labels such as Maccabi House, Anjunadeep, and SPINNIN’. Were you anticipating such a run? Looking back, how do you feel about this growth?
Yuvèe: Honestly, I didn’t come in expecting a year like this, certainly not in the way it unfolded. My goal has always been to progress step by step, release music I truly stand behind, and build a path over time. When these releases connected one after the other, it felt more like the result of an ongoing process than something planned in advance.
Looking back, I feel mostly gratitude, especially for the success of ‘Freydies’ EP on Anjunadeep Explorations. It’s been a year of a lot of work, exploration, and growth both musically and personally. The fact that my music found a home on labels I deeply respect gave me the confidence to continue following my instincts and to deepen my sound and direction further.

EG: What did you learn about yourself and your sound during this period? What would you like to achieve in the coming years?
Yuvèe: During this period, I’ve learned a lot about myself, especially realizing how central emotional connection is to my sound. The groove is, of course, very important to me, but I’ve found myself particularly drawn to the main idea of a track — the melody, motif, or element that holds it together and gives it a clear identity.
I want to create music that grabs attention immediately, where, after one listen, the audience can already hum it, but without sacrificing depth and feeling.
In the years ahead, I want to continue refining my personal voice, deepen my musical language, and build a body of work that feels coherent and authentic — something that connects both to the dancefloor and to emotion, allowing me to grow naturally and sustainably.
EG: What are some of the biggest challenges artists will face in the near future? Is there any piece of advice you have for your colleagues in that sense?
Yuvèe: I believe one of the biggest challenges artists will face in the near future is keeping up with the pace of technological development. Knowing how to use new tools smartly, but also understanding when to stop and remain authentic and true to your sound and identity, without turning your creation into something robotic or generic.
Another major challenge is staying connected to your inner voice. This is always a challenge in the world of culture and art, but in an era of social media, trends, and external pressure, it becomes even sharper.
My advice to colleagues is not to be afraid to evolve, but also not to give up on instincts. Use technology as a tool, not a goal, and remember that ultimately people connect with truth, emotion, and the story behind the music.

EG: What’s next for Yuvèe? What milestones are you looking forward to now? Where can your fans catch you next?
Yuvèe: In terms of gigs, I’m very happy about the opportunity to play in new places and at exciting festivals, with details to be revealed soon. This year, I’m also making my festival debut with Anjunadeep Explorations.
As for music, there are a lot of exciting things on the way: a new EP on Anjunadeep Explorations, a track on Crosstown Rebels that’s already making waves worldwide with support from Josh Baker, Damian Lazarus, Mita Gami, Adam Ten, and more, a new single set to release on OMRI’s label Collecting Dots with a remix by OMRI, and remixes for artists like Above & Beyond, Sezer Uysal, and Hairloom.
EG: Thank you so much for your time, Yuvèe! We wish you all the best in the future. Take care!
Yuvèe: Thank you so much, everyone, and enjoy my mix released on Anjunadeep:
