Layton Giordani and Camden Cox have released their new collaborative single ‘Destiny’, out now on MADMINDS. The cut marks the beginning of a new sonic direction for Giordani, with a stronger focus on lyric-led songwriting and heightened emotional depth.
‘Destiny’ sees Giordani step into a space shaped by melodic vocal overtones while retaining his signature underground production style. Camden Cox’s vocals sit at the center of the record, unfolding across a layered soundscape that balances cinematic tension with club-ready drive. Originally rooted in understated indie energy, the track evolved into a more expansive and euphoric form once Giordani took on production duties.
In Layton Giordani’s words: “People need to listen to ‘Destiny’ because it provokes a feeling of believing in yourself and believing that change for the better is entirely within our own reach. It’s sentimental for a version of you that exists down the line…it empowers you to free your mind and follow your destiny.”
Camden Cox adds: “People need to listen to this song right now because it feels like that moment in a film where everything suddenly opens up… that rush of anticipation, nostalgia, and hope all at once. This song will make you feel something when you’re dancing. When this song was first written it had this beautifully understated indie energy which we loved, but we also knew it had the bones to become something bigger and more euphoric. When Layton got involved on production, that’s when it really came alive, he gave it the cinematic edge that it needed to translate perfectly into the club space.”
