Several promoters and a major booking agency have suspended or removed hard techno artists from upcoming events following the circulation of online allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse of power.
The claims, which first appeared on social media and were later reported by outlets including Resident Advisor and DJ Mag Germany, reference accusations involving Shlømo, Basswell, CARV and Odymel. At the time of writing, these claims remain allegations. No confirmed criminal convictions or court rulings have been announced.
Steer Management confirmed it has suspended multiple artists from its roster in light of the accusations. A number of festivals and clubs across Europe, Australia, India and South America have since removed scheduled performances featuring the accused.
Some of the artists have publicly denied wrongdoing, while others have issued statements addressing the claims. The situation remains ongoing.
Allegations of abuse must be taken seriously. Acts of sexual misconduct, coercion, or exploitation have no place in electronic music culture or nightlife spaces. At the same time, responsible reporting requires clarity that accusations must be investigated and resolved through appropriate legal channels.
Electronic Groove will continue to follow verified developments as they become available.
