Berlin-based producer Parra for Cuva just presented his sixth studio album, ‘Nacar.’  The 12-track record follows his previous LP, ‘Mimose,‘ and includes collaborations with CRi, orbit, Nathan Ball, PALLADIAN, Aukai, Vines, Cile, and Vraell.

The project was composed primarily while on tour, with recording sessions taking place in mobile studios across Mexico, Japan, and Italy. These varied locations influenced the album’s atmosphere, with field recordings from Costa Rica integrated into the final arrangements. ‘Nacar’ balances solo compositions with collaborative works, moving between organic downtempo and melodic club-oriented structures.

The album features the singles ‘Selva, Selva’ and ‘Juri,’ which highlight the artist’s use of live percussion and traditional instrumentation. Tracks like ‘Cold Heart’ and ‘Too Close to Echo’ explore faster tempos, while the title track utilizes strings and ritualistic samples.

Since his 2013 debut, Parra for Cuva has accumulated over one billion streams, establishing a reputation for blending ambient electronica with organic house. He is scheduled to support the release with a global tour including stops at London’s Roundhouse and Amsterdam’s Paradiso.

‘Nacar’ is now available. Stream and download  here.
