Martin Kohlstedt has announced the release of his seventh studio album, ‘Kluft,’ scheduled for arrival on May 22nd, 2026. The project marks a shift for the German composer, moving toward concrete song structures while maintaining his signature blend of modular synthesis and acoustic piano.

‘Kluft’ explores the concept of “non-places” and the divides between physical and emotional states. The production integrates electronic, acoustic, and analog elements to create a cohesive narrative flow. Unlike his previous improvisational works, this record focuses on meticulous composition and melodic precision to define its sonic aesthetic.

Kohlstedt has established a reputation for transcending the boundaries of neoclassicism. His work often bridges the gap between cinematic scores and club-oriented electronic music, leading to performances at major international festivals and traditional concert halls alike.

The rollout began in December 2025 with the release of the album’s first singles, ‘RAH,’ ‘CON,’ and ‘YOR’. Following the full release, Kohlstedt will embark on an extensive European tour starting in November 2026.
