Funk Tribu has announced the first chapter of his upcoming project ‘LIFE’ with the release of ‘reborn (alma)’, arriving via his own imprint, TRIBE.
Structured around three interconnected themes – soul, mind, and body – the project unfolds across a series of releases before culminating in the full ‘LIFE’ EP on August 7th, 2026. The opening single explores a more introspective side of the Bogotá-born, Berlin-based producer, pairing euphoric melodies and vocal-driven moments with themes of personal reset and transformation.
Alongside the music, ‘reborn (alma)’ is accompanied by a conceptual visual piece that presents the body as a vessel for sound. Set within a brutalist environment contrasted by organic textures and natural elements, the film explores the relationship between identity, emotion, and musical experience.
The project follows a period of intense touring and growth for Funk Tribu, whose recent years have included the global success of ‘Phonky Tribu’, the launch of TRIBE, and headline performances at major festivals and events worldwide. To mark the completion of the project, a special release event and screening is scheduled for August 6th at Studio 1111 in Berlin.
