The Academy of Subcultural Understanding, the educational branch of the Tresor Foundation Berlin, is expanding its ‘How to Run a Club’ mentorship programme with its first global edition. Following its inaugural launch in 2024, the initiative will now welcome applicants from around the world, with a particular focus on regions where underground cultural infrastructure remains limited.

Set to take place between September 14th and October 4th, 2026, the three-week programme will be hosted across Kraftwerk Berlin, OHM, and Tresor Berlin. Eight selected participants will receive hands-on training, seminars, workshops, and direct access to club culture professionals working across booking, door management, awareness, administration, financial sustainability, and advocacy.

The programme is open to applicants aged 21 to 35 who are fluent in English and either planning to launch a venue or have recently opened one. Alongside in-person sessions in Berlin, participants will also take part in preparatory online meetings beginning in July.

Applications require a one-minute video and a written proposal outlining the applicant’s experience, vision, and perspective on the importance of club culture. The Academy particularly encourages applications from underrepresented groups within club management and cultural leadership.
