Malóne Morez has remixed Funky Green Dogs’ ‘Fired Up!’, out now via Nervous Records. The new version marks 30 years of the Miami house classic, originally produced by Oscar Gaetan and Ralph Falcon under their Funky Green Dogs alias.
First released in 1996, ‘Fired Up!’ became one of the defining records of Miami’s house movement, crossing from underground club culture into wider international recognition. For the new remix, Malóne Morez keeps the track’s vocal hook at the center while reshaping it through a modern tech house framework.
The Cuban-born, Miami-based DJ and producer adds rolling toms, tight percussion, bouncy synths, and a thick bassline, bringing the record closer to today’s club systems without losing the energy of the original.
The release follows a busy period for Malóne Morez, with upcoming dates across North America and Europe, including shows in Miami, Medellin, Paris, Barcelona, Zurich, Ibiza, London, and Saint-Tropez.
