The long-awaited collaborative LP arrives on August 28th.

Erykah Badu and The Alchemist have confirmed what had been taking shape for more than a year through rumors, surprise performances, and a series of standalone singles: their joint album, ‘Abi & Alan.’ Set for release on August 28th, 2026, the announcement is accompanied by a new preview titled ‘Witch Doctor.’
The record marks Badu’s first studio album since ‘New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh),’ released in 2010, and has been produced entirely by The Alchemist. Its title draws on Badu’s middle name, Abi, and the producer’s first name, Alan.
The pair began the album’s rollout in 2025 with ‘Next To You’ and presented material from the project during their ‘Abi & Alan Luv Is’ tour. The original August 2025 release was subsequently delayed.
