Djrum has announced his contribution to the DJ-Kicks series, set for release on October 16th, 2026, through !K7 Records.
The mix moves across ambient, classical music, post-punk, acid, breakcore, and percussive electronic music. It features four new Djrum productions alongside exclusive material from Skee Mask and Clark, with additional selections from Chris Watson, Venetian Snares, Susumu Yokota, The Raincoats, emptyset, Eli Keszler, upsammy, and more.
Lead single ‘Psychic Video’ offers the first preview, combining dense percussion, electronic textures, and chopped spoken-word samples.
Djrum assembled the project through a combination of live vinyl mixing, editing, collage, and overdubbing. The process allowed him to connect the spontaneity of his DJ sets with the more detailed approach of his studio productions.
