The Tulum season opened its doors celebrating the end of 2018 and saying hello to the new year. For this unique event, Circoloco reunited a list of well-known residents, dancers, and partygoers in this Mayan paradise.
We attended Circoloco on December 28th at Cenote Casa Tortuga for their opening event. As we entered, we were dazzled by the outstanding work and detail that Esto Es Tulum had to offer in the Mayan jungle. There was easy access to the party, friendly staff, top-notch artwork, decorations, and most importantly: a great sound system.
It is a must to mention that they are working hard to protect and preserve this sacred oasis by applying different eco-friendly practices like recycling, and no straws.
Around 11:30 pm we were already feeling the distinctive Ibiza club sound by the hands of Keinemusik member, Adam Port. With a blend of deep house tunes and Balearic sounds, he was on top of his game finishing it off with a rare edit of Latin artist Juan Luis Guerra that caused excitement among the dancers.
Next up was William Kouam Djoko who took the best set of the night honors. As he changed the vibes, Djoko ventured into a more raw and deep minimal style, building up with a great selection of Dutch-influenced house and techno.
With the raving madness already in tune, it was time for America’s own Seth Troxler. Laying it down in his unique mixture of Chicago/Detroit techno and trippy vocals, the DJ played some recognizable classics like Brett Johnson & Dave Barker’s ‘Temptations And Lies (Deadbeat And Shannon Remix)’.
Last but not least was Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus who took control of the decks during the sunrise and morning hours delivering one of his famous mystic sessions over the Mayan jungle, that brought the crowd into a journey of melodic house and techno blasting everyone into the parallel Circoloco dimension.
Once again we want to thank Esto Es Tulum for hosting such top-notch events this winter season at this beautiful location, we’ll repeat the dance dose very soon.
