A Winter Sampler VII – All Day I Dream

Just two months shy of its 15th anniversary, the influential organic and melodic house label and brand, All Day I Dream, unveils the first of its two most anticipated Various Artists compilations of the year: ‘A Winter Sampler VII.’ The release brings together a carefully curated selection that balances emerging talent with established names from the label’s roster, while exploring and expanding its own sonic language.

Through reviewing six tracks, we highlight the reasons why the label not only remains a defining force within the genres it helped shape but also continues to reinvent itself to sustain its relevance within the scene without compromising the underground essence that defines it.

Be As One (feat. Tasha) – Lost Desert & Hermanez

What Lost Desert and Hermanez achieve here is nothing short of mastery. Both key producers and DJs within the label, they manage to reimagine in a distant dimension the progressive trance classic ‘Be As One’ by Sasha (1996), originally performed by Maria Nayler. In this new interpretation, it’s Tasha who delivers the iconic lyrics, placing them within a completely renewed sonic context.

The track is reshaped here with a deeply nostalgic undercurrent. The vocal, subtle and restrained, feels as though it emerges from the shadows, adding an intimate and enveloping quality to the composition. There’s a constant sense of mystery, but also precision: nothing feels excessive, nothing breaks the balance. The beat, understated yet undeniably catchy, carries the groove with ease, allowing the track to move fluidly between the contemplative and the functional.

It’s a piece that can exist across multiple settings, from the intimacy of home listening to the dancefloor, as evidenced when Lee Burridge tested it live alongside Lost Desert during the second All Day I Dream at Brooklyn Mirage in 2024, which I had the chance to witness. Having already established themselves within the deep house space, these Belgian producers reach a particularly refined point of convergence here, delivering a track that transcends its original reference to stand firmly on its own identity.

Azul Infinito – Poli Siufi & Gastón Sosa

‘Azul Infinito’ sits firmly within the sonic DNA of All Day I Dream yet introduces an innovative nuance that expands it beyond its own boundaries. The piece carries an inspiring and hopeful energy, evoking that feeling that everything will be alright and that a better tomorrow is always ahead. It holds a distinctly nocturnal quality that, rather than leaning into darkness, is infused with a constant sense of light. Its stepwise progression creates a feeling of continuous evolution, as if each layer unveils a new set of elements that surprise without ever disrupting the track’s coherence. Even in its dynamism, it maintains a steady balance that reinforces its immersive character.

For Argentine talents Poli Siufi and Gastón Sosa, the track marks an entry that is as solid as it is triumphant, particularly after being premiered by Lee Burridge as part of the opening stretch of his set at Robot Heart during Burning Man 2026, one of the most anticipated moments in his annual calendar.

Baghdad (Diego Druck Remix) – Double Touch

Apotheosic. Brazilian DJ Diego Druck delivers a true masterclass in remixing. What stands out most is how careful he was in preserving the essence of this label classic. Druck elevates the Middle Eastern and desert tones that define the piece, making it more dancefloor-oriented while maintaining a deep respect for the original work. The result becomes a massive homage to one of the tracks from ‘Adagio,’ the EP with which the Australian duo Double Touch debuted on All Day I Dream in 2019, composed of Mark Olsen and Van-Anh Nguyen, partners both in music and in life, who have since been key in shaping and developing the subgenre.

In an Instagram post, Van shared that Druck reached out via DM to reimagine Baghdad, with the duo later providing the stems. It’s inspiring to see how some artists honor the pioneering work of those who came before them, while others make space and pass the torch to new generations. Diego Druck delivers an outstanding piece, and there’s no more fitting way to make an entrance into All Day I Dream than with a track of this caliber.

Wanna See – Kalima

Kalima locks into a groove that feels effortlessly on point with ‘Wanna See,’ carrying a nostalgic undercurrent that immediately places it within a late-night context. Its tempo is measured and controlled, allowing the track to breathe while remaining firmly grounded in the dancefloor. There’s a subtlety to its rhythm, yet a quiet confidence that evokes late ’90s and early 2000s club culture, where deep house absorbed the sensuality of disco. The vocal, understated, and woven into the background, reinforces that mood, adding warmth and a distinct sense of intimacy without ever taking center stage.

It’s a track made for the hours when the night settles in, where movement becomes instinctive and continuous, and this Argentinian talent understands it well.

Bianco Montana – Lee Burridge & Sunora

Sunora and Lee Burridge deliver a track that feels both commanding and deliberately crafted for the dancefloor. There’s a raw, almost cinematic quality to its atmosphere, evoking windswept desert landscapes with a sense of motion that never quite settles. The groove is firm and precise, driven by a bold interplay of elements that give the track a distinctly forceful presence.

Bianco Montana sees Burridge step into a more assertive sonic territory. It carries an intensity that feels serious, grounded, and intentional, as if dancing to it demands focus and purpose. At its core, it’s a full-fledged dancefloor banger, yet one that stands apart from the label’s more introspective tendencies. In that sense, it introduces a refreshing shift within the sonic identity of All Day I Dream, expanding its palette into more driving and physical territory.

Built on tension and release, the track maintains a steady grip throughout, never drifting, never softening. Sunora takes an unapologetically direct approach here.

Feeling Lonely – Rove & Ariaty

‘Feeling Lonely’ unfolds with a playful sense of rhythm, almost as if echoing the ticking of a clock, where each element lands with precision yet retains a light, almost childlike quality. There’s a brightness to it, a daytime energy that feels illuminated rather than introspective, carried by a distinctly feminine presence. The vocal creates a subtle tension against the track’s steady, repetitive structure, adding depth without disrupting its flow.

Beneath that playfulness lies a highly functional dancefloor piece. The groove remains consistent, while the build-up progresses with a sense of uplift that feels both natural and motivating. It’s easy to imagine it setting the tone early in a set, the kind of track that establishes movement without overwhelming the space.

Long anticipated since 2023 within the All Day I Dream community, the track carried a certain mystique, circulating without a confirmed identity, only tied to a close affiliate of the label who had yet to release on it. Now revealed as a collaboration between Rove and Ariaty, the latter being an alias of Tim Engelhardt, it arrives with a quiet sense of resolution, as if finally placing a long-awaited piece into the label’s evolving narrative.
