Alok has made his debut on Cloonee’s Hellbent Records with the release of his new two-track project, ‘My Own Thang’.
Marking his first appearance on the label, the Brazilian artist leans into a more club-focused direction across the EP, joining forces with a selection of international collaborators. The release signals a shift in his sound while aligning with Hellbent’s growing global presence.
The opening cut, ‘My Own Thang (To The Beat)’, sees Alok team up with Sophiegrophy and US duo Walker and Royce. Built around direct vocal delivery and tight percussion, the track channels a focused, floor-ready energy shaped by all four contributors. On the second track, ‘Grip Slippin’, Alok links with fellow Brazilian InntRaw, following the latter’s previous success on the label. The result is a driving production anchored by a heavy bassline and vocal hooks.
With a career spanning over a decade, Alok has reached global milestones including over a billion Spotify streams and large-scale performances worldwide. On ‘My Own Thang’, he brings that experience into a more stripped-back, club-oriented format.
