The initiative will run until May 2021.
After the initial success of ‘Bandcamp Fridays’, where the platform waives its commission from sales for a full day during each month, Bandcamp announced that it plans to continue with the initiative running up until May 7th. With the exception of January, February 5th, March 5th, April 2nd, and May 7th are set to be billed as ‘Bandcamp Fridays’.
The program intends to help artists, collectives, festival crew members, and a lot of other industry members and noteworthy causes through this complicated pandemic, which has seen the nightlife industry sector practically shut its doors for an entire year.
