Beatport updates its image and presents new iOS app

The Android version will be available later this year.

Beatport, the largest digital music store, has unveiled a new iOS app, along with a complete rebranding of both website and logo.

The new app allows for LINK users to create and modify playlists on the go, as well as being able to access and listen to Beatport playlists, and search for trends across their catalog. The library will also include everything users have ever purchased from Beatport, and users will be allowed to sync playlists to Beatport LINK on DJing software like rekordbox, Virtual DJ, Traktor, or Serato.

All playlists created in the app will be mirrored to any Beatport LINK-compatible hardware and software, so users can program sets on the fly. These will also be reflected on BeatportDJ, the web-based platform that was launched earlier this year. An Android app is set to be released ‘later this year.’

In addition to the app launch, Beatport has also unveiled a new brand image and design, created by Swedish firm Kurppa Hosk.
