Boiler Room event in Seoul cancelled due to overcrowding

With 4,500 tickets sold for a 2,000-person venue.

A Boiler Room event in Seoul was cancelled due to overcrowding and safety issues. Scheduled for July 27th at Sfactory, the event ended three hours early as headliner Peggy Gou was about to perform.

Fire services reported 4,500 tickets sold for a 2,000-person venue, while other sources estimated attendance at 6,000. No casualties occurred, but five attendees had breathing difficulties. The event was halted before Soichi Terada could perform. Xing Xing, who performed earlier, shared her shock on Instagram, noting the difficulty of exiting the venue.

Boiler Room denied overselling tickets, stating they adhered to capacity guidelines and ended the event due to “crowd-flow issues.” They promised refunds and a review of their systems to prevent future incidents.
