Carl Cox and Judge Jules receive honors in 2026 King’s Birthday list

The pair was recognized for their contributions to music, entertainment, and public life.

Carl Cox and Judge Jules have been recognised in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours list, receiving distinctions for their long-standing contributions to music and wider cultural life in the UK.

Cox has been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to music, acknowledging a career spanning more than four decades as a DJ, broadcaster, and one of electronic music’s most influential global ambassadors. Official honors documents list his award as being “for services to music.”

Judge Jules has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to music, entertainment law, and young people. Alongside his career as a DJ and broadcaster, he has also worked extensively as an entertainment lawyer.

The 2026 King’s Birthday Honours recognised 1,182 recipients across the UK. Cox and Jules join a wider group of figures from music, sport, and public life honoured this year, including Roger Daltrey, David Beckham, and Claudia Winkleman.
