DJ & producer Alland Byallo has died

He was the co-founder, art director, and resident DJ of the KONTROL party in San Francisco.

North American musician and artist Alland Byallo has died unexpectedly at his Berlin residence.

“It is with great sadness that we the family and close friends inform you about our beloved son, brother, grandson, friend, musician, producer, DJ Alland Byallo passed away early this week of natural causes. Family and Friends are devastated and request privacy at this very difficult time,”  said an official statement issued by Alland’s family.  “We are in the process of arranging a memorial to celebrate Alland’s life and the impact he had on all of us. We will be sharing more information soon. During this difficult time, let’s come together to support each other and cherish the moments we shared with him.”

Byallo co-founded, art directed, and was a resident DJ of the  KONTROL party in San Francisco, where he made an important impact on the American techno scene. With over 20 years of experience as a graphic designer and art director, he was highly respected for his skills and dedication.

In 2003, Alland Byallo moved from Los Angeles to San Francisco to focus on his career as a DJ. He began as a resident at The Endup, a renowned club in the West Coast city, before moving to Berlin, where he produced music and released albums and singles under record labels such as Third Ear Recordings, Room With A View, Dirt Crew, Poker Flat, Rawax, and Housewax.

Also, he received formal education at the Pasadena Art Center College of Design. He worked with Beatport as an Art Director and provided his services as a freelancer to brands such as Ikea, Siemens Energy, Microsoft Surface, Absolut Vodka, Ballantine’s Whisky, Sparkasse, and more.
