EG.736 Marino Canal

Influenced by the works of Brian Eno, Philip Glass, John Cage and Steve Reich, Marino has carved his own staple sound in the techno scene through a stream of solid releases. His debut album “Over Under” has received praise from Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, Adriatique Joris Voorn, Pan-Pot, reaching Beatport’s Top10 Techno releases and Top20 overall.

Marino’s productions are best described as organic, hypnotic and melancholic. He first got involved in the electronic music scene by attending forest raves hosted by his parents.

It was there when he first had contact with a set of decks.

In the past three years he has played in places like The BPM Festival, Output NYC, Sankeys Ibiza, IMS Ibiza, and Fabric London.

Fabric London owner, Keith Reilly, was quoted in an interview saying, “We all live in a world where we have instant access to the worlds most talented DJ’s now. But every decade or so you hear someone, and you know there is something else, something very special going on. I feel Marino is that someone”.

Marino’s most recent works include a tight collaboration with Nicole Moudaber’s MOOD Records where he released his highly acclaimed debut album “Over Under” and a series of yet to be released tracks with Skin from Skunk Anansie.
