“Touring around the world in the last couple of years right after COVID, definitely opened up my musical taste and influences, especially towards Latin world due to the strong bond I made with Spanish native speaker populations. Having been based in Ibiza for a few summers and visiting regularly Mexico made me learn/love the language and culture. I found myself enjoying and playing more and more tracks with Spanish vocals, without of course forgetting my Italian roots with always leads to my love for some good italo, disco, pianos, and funky tunes in general. A bit of acid can always be found here and there, to not forget how good an ACIEEEED background in electronic music is! Speaking Minds is the musical project of Italian DJ/Producer Simone Sinatti, active in the international music circuit from almost a decade and part of Circoloco Ibiza crew where he’s responsible for the Circoloco Radio programming. Resident DJ of the infamous Florence party Lattexplus, flagship of Italian clubbing, he also run the bookings for Milan renowned Apollo Club and manages the successful label AEON as A&R together with founder Alex Niggemann.
Being in the game for quite a while, in the last years things seemed to be shaping up nicely for him: some highlights of his recent years have been his gigs at Circoloco, ADE, Extrema Outdoor, Village Underground, Oasis Festival, Watergate, Cocorico and Off Sonar to name a few, sharing also the decks with some of the most respected djs of the globe including Laurent Garnier, Seth Troxler, Ben Ufo, Bedouin, Gerd Janson, Job Jobse, Palms Trax, Bambounou, FJAAK, Recondite, Pantha Du Prince, Miss Kittin and Marcellus Pittman.
His music has been regularly supported by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Dixon, Ame, Job Jobse, Jennifer Cardini and Mano Le Tough among others.
With quite a few releases on AEON and My Favorite Robot Records, 2019 opened new doors for Speaking Minds: after his ‘Jupiter Express’ released on Correspondant, he followed up with “Blue Days”, track included on WhoMadeWho’s compilation for Watergate Records. Year continued with his return to mother label AEON with an EP accompanied with remixes by Fort Romeau and Moscoman, premiered via BBC1 Radio and gaining huge support all over the world.
After COVID’s break, 2021 saw Speaking Minds releasing an official remix for Telepopmusik’s classic track “Breathe” on Virgin Records and his biggest discographic accomplishment so far: a track on brand new Laurent Garnier’s label Cod3 QR.
