For EG.1084, Bill Hates and Vite come together with a B2B recorded at Kamaya, the Cyprus festival held in Agia Triada on August 15th, 2026. Positioned ahead of Dixon and Mind Against, their set captures the particular role of the warm up, building the room patiently through groove, detailed textures, and a steady rise in energy.

The pairing brings together two artists whose paths through electronic music extend well beyond the DJ booth. Born in Caracas and based in Barcelona, Bill Hates is the project of Adolfo Olivo, a DJ, producer, live performer, and festival curator. His work moves across groovy techno, deep house, melodic material, and ambient passages, with modular and analog hardware playing a central role in both his productions and performances. His hybrid sets combine DJing with live sequencing through a Eurorack modular system, allowing him to shape parts of the performance in real time.

Vite approaches DJing through an equally broad relationship with club culture. Across his career he has worked as a promoter, music editor, booking manager, producer, DJ, and club partner, experiences that have shaped an adaptable approach to selection and crowd reading. He is currently musical director at Vagalume Tulum and, together with Miganova, created SINNER, both a weekly event at Vagalume and a record label launched in 2023.

Kamaya provides the meeting point for these two backgrounds. Bill Hates served as both booker and performing artist for the festival’s 2026 edition, which brought together Dixon, Mind Against, Monkey Safari, Audiofly, Jonathan Kaspar, and others. For their Electronic Groove mix, Bill Hates and Vite revisit the opening stretch of that day, presenting a set built not around immediate impact, but around timing, restraint, groove, and the gradual preparation of the dancefloor.
