GusGus continues the celebration of their 25th anniversary with the release of their track ‘Higher’, the first single from their upcoming 2021 album. This time, the group collaborates with the talented vocalist Margrét Rán of the Icelandic band VÖK.
The nearly four-minute musical endeavor takes us through hypnotic melodies, captivating rhythms, haunting bass lines, mind-expanding soundscapes, and upbeat synth sounds in the best style of electro-pop.
To accompany their art, GusGus posted an impressive video directed by Arni & Kinski, the creative brains behind many videos from Sigur Ros, Kiasmos, and Olafur Arnalds. The wardrobe manager was the world-renowned designer Palomo Spain, known for his androgynous and haute couture sensibility, which is noticeable in this piece.
