A masterclass in progressive sounds.
Rising Australian imprint Late Night Music is celebrating a new landmark, as the brand hits its 50th release. For this special occasion, the label has enlisted the talents of Jamie Stevens, who delivers the sublime two-track EP, ‘Traag’. The new drop is already available to stream and purchase across all major digital outlets.
Showcasing two new original cuts, the record finds Stevens knee-deep in dark hypnotic synths and tribal-techno drums in the titular ‘Traag’, while ‘Rivers’ sees ethereal pads unfurling over deep progressive breaks for a most memorable outing.
“I’ve known the lads for quite some time. I met through gigs in Canberra where they are from. What I admire about them is their taste in what they release and how they have a really solid aesthetic. You can tell they spend a lot of time on each release. The support of local artists mixed with internationals is also great. To be honest, I am extremely honoured to be their 50th release!” said Jamie Stevens in an exclusive interview with EG.
