Leticia van Riel, prominent electronic music manager, passes away in Ibiza

The Brazilian-French artist manager worked in the electronic music industry for over 15 years.

Leticia van Riel, founder of LvR Management and co-manager of techno pioneer Sama’ Abdulhadi, has passed away following a car accident in Ibiza.

The veteran manager spent nearly twenty years shaping careers within the global electronic music scene. For the past seven years, van Riel co-managed Sama’ Abdulhadi. Her extensive professional history also includes a decade-long partnership developing the career of Brazilian techno artist ANNA, alongside representation for Miss Monique and Wehbba.

Van Riel established her career in London at the MN2S Agency after completing her studies in event marketing management at London Metropolitan University. She later held roles at IMD Agency, Safehouse Management, and B4 Bookings before relocating to Spain. In 2018, she launched LvR Management to focus on long-term artist development, later expanding her footprint with the LvR mentoring initiative for emerging industry professionals.

Following the announcement, International Music Summit (IMS) issued a statement honoring her legacy and describing her as “a force within the electronic music industry: passionate, determined, and deeply committed to supporting the people around her.” Also, Sama’ Abdulhadi has cancelled her upcoming performance at Ireland’s Beyond The Pale festival.
