Martin Horntveth, the founder of Jaga Jazzist and The National Bank  has announced his debut solo project under the name ‘Gouldian Finch.’ He has released his first single entitled ‘The Flamingo’.

‘The Flamingo’ is the lead single from the artist’s upcoming album, which he worked on with lyricist Martin Hagfors, his collaborator of over 20 years. The LP is a mix of various styles that naturally evolved from Martin’s music. Wrapped in lush electronic production, the vocals of Norwegian pop star Emilie Nicolas perfectly complement the music.

Emilie Nicolas, one of Norway’s most celebrated artists and handpicked by Björk to contribute to her album ‘Fossora’ last year, teamed up with the artist for ‘The Flamingo’. “The Flamingo sounds incredible! It makes me want to dance, party, and groove. I am proud and happy to be part of this fantastic solo project,” he added.
