Ministry of Sound hosting fundraiser for Steve Laviniere

Involving friends David Morales, Mark Knight, Michael Gray, and many more.

Ministry of Sound is set to host a fundraiser for the benefit of Steve Laviniere, one-half of soulful house pioneers Bobby & Steve. The fundraiser will aid Steve’s future care, rehabilitation, and home adaptation after a tough battle with COVID.

The artist contracted COVID-19 in March 2020, with the virus spreading through his nervous system, causing a rare brain injury called ‘Acute Hemorrhagic Leukoencephalitis’ (AHLE/Hurst Disease). Unfortunately, this diagnosis has caused a ‘Prolonged Disorder of Consciousness’, leaving him unable to communicate or move his body.

‘Dance For Stevie’ is set to go through this October 3rd, at Ministry Of Sound, and will feature friends David Morales, Mark Knight, Barbara Tucker, Trevor Nelson, Dave Lee, Michael Gray, and many other heavyweights.

All money raised will go towards helping Steve return home and receive around-the-clock care to give him the best quality of life possible.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up in Steve’s name by his brother Bobby Laviniere, which you can find here.

Tickets for Ministry of Sound’s ‘Dance For Stevie’ are already available here.
