The original track is the band’s first new song in 5 years.
New Order released ‘Be a Rebel [Remixes Part One]’, a package made up of three new remixes of their latest track. Band member, Bernard Sumner, as well as DJs Paul Woolford and Maceo Plex, are handling the new versions.
‘Be a Rebel’, with its message to celebrate us and appreciate what we have even in difficult times, was originally planned as a release before New Order’s tour this fall, but, once they rescheduled their concerts for 2021, the band felt it was important to share new music with fans.
‘In difficult times, we wanted to come up with a new song. We can’t play live for a while, but music is still something we can all share together. We hope you enjoy it … Until we meet again’, said Bernard Sumner.
