It is the first of three singles to see the light.
Dutch artist Satori has released a brand new single in ‘Yellow Blue Bus’. The recording is already out via Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels and is part of his upcoming LP to be out on April 2022.
Satori took the opportunity to also describe the meaning behind ‘Yellow Blue Bus’, which comes from a phonetic memory-aid: ‘My girlfriend is from Russia, her name is Karina. To say ‘I love you’ in Russian, you say ‘Ya lyublyú Vas’. To memorize this as a foreigner, you can basically memorize ‘Yellow Blue Bus’. So I decided to write a song about a yellow blue bus, but the bus is actually my girlfriend’
The new release opens with real-life ambient sounds, recorded live in Ibiza as a bus passes by and birds sing in the background. Both ‘Yellow Blue Bus’ and the forthcoming album were recorded at Ibiza’s iconic Sonic Visa Studios, harnessing the serene vibes of the white island.
